Hello

My name is Sara. I’m a native German-speaking teacher and examiner with over 10 years of language teaching experience. I offer German group classes and one-to-one tuition for adults and children (12+) at all levels. I help people learn German for pleasure, relocation and business and children prepare for GCSE and A-level examinations - I am DBS checked. 

I have a deep passion and enthusiasm for teaching languages. My approach is supportive, caring and learner orientated, focusing on the learner’s abilities and needs. My lessons are individualised and structured, and set in a relaxed and friendly learning environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions and challenge themselves. I ensure that my students learn in an interactive, enjoyable and meaningful way. Through a communicative approach, you will develop your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. There will be many opportunities to learn these skills in a variety of ‘real-life’ situations. 

I am from Switzerland and have lived in the UK for 10 years. I graduated from University of Applied Sciences in Arts in Switzerland. I am dedicated, patient, reliable and have a warm and friendly nature. I enjoy hiking in the Swiss Alps and visiting art museums. I also love to learn English and edit short films.
